    Charles Dickens is one of the most well-known English authors of all time; he was born on February 7th in 1812 and was raised in Hampshire England. Dickens is known as the author of many famous books such as Great Expectations, and A Tale of Two Cities, both of which are still greatly appreciated and widely read today. Many of most well-known works were published in weekly installments in a newspaper. This helped him rise in popularity because they peaked the public’s interest, and he could alter the plot if the public felt a different route should have been taken. He is also famous for his suspenseful novels and intense cliffhangers that left readers wanting more. Charles Dickens continued writing until his death in the June of 1870 and is a truly amazing writer who will be remembered as a great English novelist for years to come.
